I have completely nerded out and put together a playlist of most of the music mentioned in Private Lessons in chronological order. There’s a little Belle and Sebastian thrown in to make it flow a little better, and a Beach Boys song early on which is what I imagined Claire wanted to hear after her lesson with Paul.
I was really worried this would be a snooze — classical music can be snoozy. But I was pretty surprised how well this turned out. Most of the music that Claire loves is angsty and dynamic and beautiful — a lot like Claire! Enjoy.
